Why Women's Worlds?
Women’s Worlds is a new flagship program from Teach About Women. Modeled on the New York Historical’s Women in the American Story Program, this free curriculum seeks to tell women’s stories on the global scale.
Tracing global history from the birth of agriculture to the Covid-19 Crisis, W.W. bridges the gap between academic research and teaching in the classroom by using the latest scholarship on world’s history to make free, accessible lessons for primary and secondary schools. Rich and dynamic, these materials will encompass a diversity of women from all over the world and be organized into ten units, allowing educators to seamlessly integrate them into their teaching.
Our open-source, online curriculum will provide teachers and students in global history classrooms with the resources they so sorely need to have a complete picture of the human experience.
By compiling a library of best-in-class educator resources, W.W. provides historical context for women’s current struggles to be taken seriously as speakers, writers, witnesses, providers, and leaders. Armed with this new knowledge, the next generation can continue the fight to build a world where we all stand tall.
