We connect teachers, students, and supporters to make gender equity part of every aspect of school life.
By 2025, we will build communities to support 10,000 game-changing teachers in giving 1,000,000 students the skills and knowledge to be champions for gender equity. We create online communities, host conferences, and collaborate with mission-driven institutions to support educators in changing the way we teach in this country. We build communities to encourage teachers to gather, share materials and grow professionally so that they can teach about women, teach about gender, diffuse toxic gender dynamics in their classrooms and empower all their students, regardless of gender.
Impact on communities
In 5 years, we will be regularly reaching 75,000 followers through social media and our blog/podcast. We will be working with 10 partner organizations to bring their mission-driven work into classrooms and hosting 5 annual educator conferences. All this to build communities to support 10,000 game-changing teachers and their 50,000 students. Together we can change the way we teach in this country.
Why build communities?
Nothing happens in a vacuum, especially not long-term, sustainable change. One of the biggest obstacles teachers face in bringing women’s history, feminism, and anti-bias education into their schools is a lack of community support–administrators to back them up in in sticky situations, mentors to guide them through new material and new methods, and other teachers to share ideas with.
Everyone, regardless of gender, has supportive communities that extend beyond classrooms to support them in pursuing success, leadership, and happiness. We cultivate supportive networks through strategic partnerships, social media, and events that connect young women and girls with thoughtful adults of all genders who can help them thrive and succeed beyond school in their personal and professional lives.

We create intergenerational support networks.
We work to take the lessons of tolerance, inclusion and collaboration across differences out of the classroom and into the world. From the recent fight for gun control to the movements to reduce bullying and support Black Lives Matter, classrooms are becoming incubators for positive social change. We offer thoughtful supporters ways to connect with educators and students to make a meaningful and visible impact on their world.
