We help K-12 educators integrate equity work, especially gender equity work, into every aspect of school life, from curriculum and after-school activities to admissions and hiring.

We envision a world where everyone has the same opportunities to learn, lead, and thrive, regardless of gender.

What is the problem?
Outdated guidelines
Currently, learning guidelines, standards, and history programs around the nation leave women out almost entirely. This makes it difficult for even the most motivated teachers to include rich material about women or gender inequality. |
Lack of resources
Most textbooks, historical surveys, and standardized tests include little to no information on women. Without age-appropriate resources for teaching about women, teachers often leave them out entirely. |
Lack of training
Teacher lack the time and the support from the communities and administrators to build truly thoughtful resources that address the lives of women. |
What is our solution?
Change policy.
We petition schools and districts to include more information about women and gender in their programs and curriculum. |
Change classrooms.
We design resources for teachers and educate them, through in-person training and online courses, to use them effectively in their classrooms. |
Build communities.
We host conferences, create online forums and databases, and collaborate with mission-driven institutions to support educators in changing how we teach about women and gender. |
